Product Description:

RC Pex is a formulation of calcium hydroxide with iodoform and barium sulphate in ready to use paste form. Calcium hydroxide has been proved as one of the most efficient material for various applications in dentistry. RC Pex is highly alkaline radiopaque water-soluble paste which could be easily cleaned and removed from canal whenever required.

Indications:

1.   Leaking canal
2.   Apexification
3.   Temporary root canal filling material

Contra Indications:

No known contra indication exists for product.

Precautions:

Do not mix with water while using. Screw the cap tightly back onto the syringe after each use to avoid hardening of the material.

Procedure:

1.   After preparation of root canal, cleaning and drying, push the paste into the canal while gradually withdrawing syringe from the canal (give gentle pressure on plunger).
2.   Remove excess with cotton swab and seal off with cement.
   (Prime Dental’s TMP-RS, temporary filling material)
3.   As calcium hydroxide is a resorbable material if any periapical extrusion has happened the same should not give any problem.
4.   While removing RC Pex from canal use K file with few drops of water.
5.   Screw the cap tightly back onto the syringe after each use.

Storage & Shelf Life:

Store away from sunlight in a cool and dry place. Keep away from direct flame. Do not leave the syringe open. Always screw cap tightly back on to the syringe after each use. Do not use after expiration date.

Disposal Conditions:

To be disposed of based on the prevailing rules of the country in which it is used.
